Boat towed away from Watertown home
WATERTOWN, Mass. (WHDH) --- Investigators removed the boat where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found after a day-long manhunt.
The boat was towed from its Watertown home on Friday evening.
Investigators had been gathering evidence from the boat for the last week. On Friday, it was moved to a secure location.
Police escorted the boat, which was being towed by a black SUV, down the Massachusetts Turnpike. The side they drove on was blocked off to cars, which led to backups for evening commuters.
Tsarnaev was captured last Friday. FBI investigators had closed off the streets around the boat. They have not said if the neighborhood will now be reopened to traffic.
