Uncle relieved marathon bombing suspect buried
BOSTON (WHDH) -- At the marathon memorial on Friday, it was clear so many are still coping with the aftermath of the attack.
Boston Mayor Tom Menino says the word that Tamerlan Tsarnaev's body has been moved to Virginia should allow people to focus more on the victims.
“He’s gone now, he’s in Virginia; let him stay in Virginia. Let’s help support the survivors as we go forward,” Mayor Menino said. “I’m very relieved he’s not in Massachusetts.”
Tsarnaev's death certificate, released Friday, lists his uncle Ruslan Tsarni as the person who arranged the burial.
Tsarni told 7News he is “very much relieved” by the arrangements and that he was “overwhelmed by the position I’ve been put in.”
One other interesting note from Tsarnaev's death certificate is in the box labeled “usual occupation.” For Tsarnaev it says “never worked.”
