Extreme marathoners raise money for Boston
BOSTON (WHDH)--The two extreme marathon runners making the long trek from Washington D.C. to Boston to raise money for marathon victims have made it!
The runners left D.C. on Tuesday and arrived in Boston on Saturday. That's 450-miles non-stop!
“We've been thinking about this moment for a month now. You know, you come up with an idea and it just snowballs into something so massive it’s hard to fathom,” said runner, Frank Fumich.
“Very emotional all along the way. It's very tough, and apparently you guys have heat waves,” runner Matt Nelson said.
They've raised more than 78-thousand dollars for people injured in the attack. The runners say they made the trip to hand deliver the money.
