MSPCA-Angell Pet of the Week: Nico the dog
Can you believe that this is Nico's third time at the MSPCA-Angell Adoption Center?
Previous adopters thought she was so cute that they just had to have her, however they did not take into consideration the level of responsibility even a small dog requires. Although she is tiny, she still needs plenty of exercise, love and attention to keep her happy and healthy.
Nico is a 9-year-old old Miniature Pinscher -- but don't let her age fool you, she still has tons of energy. She loves going out and will need to be walked everyday so she can release her energy and stay fit. Nico would do well in a calm home with older kids who would be gentle with her. She has a history of living with other dogs. Although she has never lived with cats, the staff thinks that she will get along well with them if properly introduced. She is completely house trained, but might need a quick refresher when she arrives at her new home.
Nico has cataracts and will need ongoing veterinary care. She may need surgery in the future to ensure she keeps her vision and overall eye health intact as she gets older.
