MBTA officer Donohue helps blood drive at hospital
BOSTON (WHDH) -- MBTA Officer Richard Donohue got a helping hand from doctors at Mount Auburn Hospital, and now he is giving back.
He and the American Red Cross are teaming up to promote a summer blood drive.
After he was injured during the shootout with the marathon bombing suspects, Donohue was taken to Mount Auburn and used all of their blood supply. Thursday he was on-hand to help replenish their blood banks.
Donohue said he’s making progress in his recovery each and every day.
