Police continue search for kidnapper, Brown
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Police are still looking for 40-year-old, Damond Brown, who kidnapped a baby outside the Prudential Center on Friday night. The 7-month-old little girl was found safe with the car, a 4-door Infiniti Sedan, which Brown ditched in Mission Hill.
State police say have been looking for Brown since Friday night after an Amber Alert was triggered in the South End.
According to investigators, Brown is accused of taking the 7-month-old daughter of his girlfriend with him in the car. Investigators also said Brown has made threatening comments in the past leading police to believe the child was in danger.
Late Friday night, officers confirmed the child was found unharmed in a Mission Hill apartment complex. Neighbors said the little girl was found wandering alone.
The baby is now home with her mother. Although the Amber Alert was cancelled, the manhunt for Brown is ongoing.
Police say Brown is homeless and his whereabouts a complete mystery. However, his checkered past has authorities concerned. An active warrant is still out for Brown on assault and battery charges.
