Police cruiser nearly hit by reckless car in O'Neill Tunnel
BOSTON (WHDH) -- A Massachusetts State Police trooper is urging drivers to be extra cautious, especially when driving by officers and workers on the side of the road.
The trooper was working an overnight detail with construction crews in the Tip O’Neill Tunnel when his cruiser was nearly hit by a reckless driver.
"It's a perfect visual example on camera of how quickly those things can happen and why you should be paying attention and obeying the speed limit here in the tunnels or any construction zone for that matter," state police major Terry Hanson said.
Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with speeding, marked lanes violation and reckless driving.
