FBI asks dentists to help find 'Whitey' Bulger

BOSTON -- First, the FBI asked plastic surgeons to help them in their search for fugitive Boston mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger, now they are turning to dentists for help.
The FBI posted an ad, with pictures, in the American Dental Association's May newsletter asking dentists if they have treated the 80-year-old Bulger, or his girlfriend, 59-year-old Catherine Greig.
Greig, a certified dental hygienist, was known for getting her teeth cleaned once a month before she fled with Bulger 15 years ago.
An FBI spokeswoman tells The Boston Globe the ad is a "creative" way of expanding the search.
The agency took out a similar ad in the April edition of Plastic Surgery News.
Bulger, a former FBI informant, is wanted in connection with 19 murders with a $2 million reward on his head.
