Celtics fans put Boston blowout behind them

BOSTON -- Celtics fans are still standing behind the team after Tuesday night’s 89-67 loss to the Lakers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
“It’s just beginning tomorrow,” said Celtics fan George Maddox of Thursday’s decisive Game 7.
Yet some fans admitted they didn’t stomach the Game 6 loss so well.
Celtics fan Victor Forsley said he fell asleep toward the end of the game.
“The next thing I saw was Doc Rivers explaining the whole thing,” he said.

Some fans said they were disheartened before the end of the game.
“The first quarter was awful, and so was the second. I think, unfortunately, most of us thought it was over by halftime,” said Jenna Pajak, a Celtics fan.
“Second quarter, we’re done,” added another woman as to when she threw in the towel.
Yet other fans, like Marquis Williams, said they never gave up on the team.
“I watched it all the way until the end. Never give up on your team if you’re a true fan,” he said.
“I love the game. I know they played very poorly, but I still continued to watch, for punishment,” said TD Garden faithful Paul Passacanilli.
Many fans believe the Celtics will win Game 7, and subsequently the championship, out in Los Angeles on Thursday.
