Bill passed to ban texting while driving in Mass.

BOSTON -- The Massachusetts State Senate has passed the final version of a bill that will ban texting while driving.

The bill bans texting for all drivers as well as any cell phone use for drivers under 18.

It also requires drivers over the age of 75 to get their eyes tested every five years.

The bill will now go to Gov. Deval Patrick for his signature.
