Earl affecting local travel at Logan, on Amtrak

BOSTON -- Earl affected travel in the air and on the ground into the holiday weekend.

Officials at Logan Airport expected delays and cancellations with late and early flights. They advised Labor Day travelers to check with their airlines before heading out.

Meanwhile, some train service has already been halted.

Amtrak has suspended all service between Boston and New York as it deals with damage to its electrical system.

Amtrak officials are also preparing for the possibility of debris falling on trains and tracks.
