Back Bay named 'Great American Neighborhood'

BOSTON -- The American Planning Association named Boston’s Back Bay one of ten great neighborhoods for 2010.

The list is part of the organization's "Great Places in America" program.

The neighborhood was selected for its Victorian houses, successful retail area and extensive open public spaces.

Also listed in the "Great Places for 2010" list is Boston's Emerald Necklace of parks and waterways.
