Construction begins on Yawkey station
BOSTON -- Construction crews break ground today on the MBTA Yawkey commuter rail station reconstruction project.
Approval for the $13.5 million dollar overhaul came during the Mitt Romney administration.
The project is expected to improve service to commuters, residents and Red Sox fans.
Yawkey is the first phase of Fenway Center, a $500 million, mixed-use development in Kenmore Square.
