Mass. General uses 3D images in breast cancer screenings

BOSTON -- The fight against breast cancer is getting some high tech help in Boston.
Massachusetts General Hospital is now the first in the nation to use 3D imaging in breast cancer screenings.
The technology promises to improve cancer detection and reduce false positives by giving doctors a clearer view of the tissue.
Doctors said it also increases the ability to detect and diagnose smaller cancers.
