Local jeweler offers chance to win royal ring replica

BOSTON -- Anticipation for the royal wedding is building in Boston, and a local jeweler's offer has a nice ring to it.
E.B. Horn has created a replica of Kate Middleton's engagement ring worth $10,000.
"The same prongs, the same relationship of the sapphire to the diamonds. It's a very, very close proximity. Princess Di's ring might be a little bit bigger," said Michael Finn of E.B. Horn Co.
Both rings feature 14 diamonds surrounding a sapphire. The ring that sits on Kate Middleton’s finger once sat on Princess Diana’s. It was that connection that inspired the jeweler to offer the contest.
"We're a family run business. I mean, multi-generational, and the wedding is kind of a multi-generational thing where the ring was being passed down," said Finn.
Now, the couple named "Boston’s Most Royal" will win their own version of the royal ring. All it takes is a love story.
“We have a beautiful love story,” said one woman.
In order to win, couples can share what makes their story royal in video, photos or an essay.
“Put in three photographs and a story, or a video and tell us your story…what makes it special and unique,” said Finn.
Finalists will be announced April 24 and the winning couple will be revealed the night before the Royal Wedding.
