Local jeweler holds royal race in honor of Will and Kate

BOSTON -- In honor of Prince William and Kate's visit to the U.S. one local jeweler is holding a royal race.

200 teams will compete in a scavenger hunt throughout Boston on Saturday.

On the line: a pair of $5,000 diamond earrings inspired by Kate Middleton.

“She just embodies wholesome style, she has phenomenal fashion and people, both here in the U.S. and abroad, want to sort of dress like Kate, feel like Kate, be like Kate because she is absolutely a princess,” said Matt Lauzon, CEO, Gemvara.com

The teams will get hints and assignments through their mobile phones.

Teams will be determined on a first come first serve basis.
