Autopsies show cause of 3 deaths in Waltham
WALTHAM, Mass. -- Investigators say autopsies show that the three men whose bodies were found in a Waltham apartment this week had their throats slashed.
Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone and Waltham Police Chief Thomas LaCroix said Thursday that the medical examiner determined that the cause of death was sharp force injuries of the neck. The victims were identified Wednesday as 25-year-old Brandon Mess of Waltham, 31-year-old Eric Weissman of Cambridge and 37-year-old Rapheal Teken of Cambridge.
Mess lived in the apartment where the killings took place.
The bodies were found Monday afternoon.
Authorities have released few details about the killings. In a statement released Wednesday, Leone and LaCroix said it appears the victims knew their assailant or assailants and the attacks weren't random.
