Mounting problems for Occupy Boston

BOSTON -- With mounting problems and plummeting temperatures, many are not sure how much longer Occupy Boston will last.
Police are beginning to crack down at the Occupy Boston tent city and that led to the arrests of two men over the weekend.
Occupy protesters said they are determined to stay.
“Like during the day you have 300 Occupiers to like 20 police. The ratio is outrageous. It’s a peaceful protest,” said John Murphy, an Occupy protester.
“There were people pushed to the ground by the police and injured and other injuries from them and a large amount of show of force for a thing we brought in for our own safety,” said one protester.
Police arrested two men overnight Saturday.
Daniel Costello was charged with pulling a knife on another protester.
Another man, Michael Young, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Before the weekend a riot broke out in the camp when police removed a sink that had been brought in by protesters.
As the City of Boston waits for a judge’s ruling patience are running thin.
Police are no longer allowing marches without a permit. They are also banning fires, controlled substances and building materials inside the camp.
“Unfortunately, there is the very real possibility that the city will shut us down and there’s the very real possibility that we will not be able to have winterized tents,” said Josh Sager, a protester.
Protesters said they intend to bring in a winterized tent Monday which is in direct violation of city rules that were set out for protesters.
