Logan Airport buzzing with Pats fans headed to Indy
BOSTON -- Lucky fans are flocking to Indianapolis for a weekend of Super Bowl fun. Many of them headed out from Logan airport on Friday.
Logan was busy all day Friday with exuberant Patriots fans who were anxious to get out of town and get to the game.
“We’re a wreck. Not that we’re worried about losing, I think we’re a wreck about winning. Dave Pavao and his wife were beside themselves when they left Logan to head to Indy for the Super Bowl.
“This is as big as when the Red Sox finally won the big one and we all went and put things on our parents graves. I think that’s the height of this,” said Pavao.
When asked what it was like having three Patriots tickets to the Super Bowl, one man replied, “I’m about to put them away right now. I see a lot of people eyeing them.
One Patriots fan, with his tickets in tow, was headed to Indianapolis with his father and friend.
Logan Airport was a sea of red, white, and blue on Friday. Fans were dressed to the nines in Patriots gear. In the middle of it all was a girl wearing a Giants cap.
“I haven’t seen any other Giants fans. I’m sure I’ll meet them,” said one Giants fan.
Anne Derosier wasn’t going to let her husband get in her way of going to the game.
“Honey, I love you, but…” said Anne Derosier, a Patriots fan.
Patriots fans were feeling good about the game being billed at the “Revenge Bowl.”
“Unbelievably excited. I cannot believe the Pats are in it again. I cannot wait. I cannot wait,” said Beth Rancourt, a Patriots fan.
Flights to Indianapolis are maxed out at, although a Delta representative told 7News on Friday afternoon that they had one seat left on one flight leaving Logan on Sunday afternoon that will get you to Indianapolis just in time for the kick off.
