Baby Giovanni loses battle with rare disorder

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A five-year-old from New Hampshire who fought a rare immune disorder and inspired thousands has lost his battle.

Giovanni Guglielmo died Monday at Children's Hospital in Boston. Giovanni was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called nemo as a baby.

His father set up bone marrow drives that saw 40,000 people added to an international bone marrow registry thanks to baby Giovanni's's story.
