BOSTON (WHDH) -- Boston police released new surveillance video connected to the death of 22-year-old Stephen Perez on April 28.
Perez had recently returned from a tour overseas, according to his family. The Army sniper was killed near a Boston nightclub in the Theater District during the early hours of April 28.
Investigators released the following surveillance video connected to the homicide:
Detectives are interested in learning the identity of the four individuals seen coming down the parking lot ramp in rapid succession. Investigators believe they may be connected to Lynn.
"Maybe someone will see the video on the news and step forward and say, 'Listen, I saw these kids run out,'" said Anthony Delloiacono, Perez's friend. "To survive in Afghanistan and Iraq, and then to die in Boston -- it doesn't make sense.
Investigators are seeking witness photos or video taken in the area of 290 Tremont Street and Stewart Street that night. Anyone with any information on the shooting should contact Sergeant Detective Marc Sullivan at SullivanMa.bpd@ci.boston.ma.us or call the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470. An anonymous tip can be given at 1-800-949-TIPS or text the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
