Police investigating Cambridge biking assault

BOSTON (WHDH) -- The Massachusetts State Police are investigating an indecent assault of a woman on a bike Wednesday night.

A Cambridge woman was riding eastbound on Memorial Drive near Magazine Beach around 7:30 p.m. when she says another bicyclist grabbed her behind as she was passing.

The woman says the cyclist then took off over the Boston University Bridge.

She described the suspect as a black male wearing a white helmet, black jacket, baggy grey sweat pants. Officials continue to search for the suspect.

Officials said they don’t believe this assault is connected to a recent rash of sexual assaults that have taken place near the Esplanade.
