Lawmakers call for MassPort to take over 'T' ferries
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Bay State lawmakers are calling for MassPort to take over the MBTA’s ferry service.
They want MassPort to take over commuter ferry service while paying the MBTA roughly $20 million to purchase boats, piers and parking lots.
The ‘T’ faces a major deficit that has already resulted in service cuts and fare hikes.
