2 arrested after standoff in Everett

EVERETT, Mass. (WHDH) -- Two men were arrested following a police standoff in Everett Tuesday.

Officers were called to a home on Central Avenue Tuesday night.

Police say one man claimed he was being held in a room by an armed man.

Following hours of negotiations, the suspects surrendered peacefully.

Investigators searched the house and found drugs but it wasn’t immediately clear if they recovered any sort of weapon.

Both suspects will be arraigned on multiple charges Wednesday.
