NH pedestrian struck, killed by pickup in Mass.

NEWTON, Mass. (AP) -- Massachusetts State Police say a Rochester, N.H., man is dead after being struck by a pickup truck in Newton, Mass.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Nonantum Road at about 3:18 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the victim was 22-year-old Dennis Cassagrande. He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the truck was 21-year-old Beau Dellicker of Mendon, Mass. He was not injured.

Police say no charges have been filed, however, an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is continuing.
