CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office and state police are asking for the public’s help after a homeless man was allegedly beaten to death in Charlestown.

A DCR employee found the 45-year-old man on May 22 near the Paul Revere Park. Investigators said the man was unresponsive and had a serious head injury.

Investigators said the man died a few days after he was discovered.

Officials are investigating what led up to the injury. They say he could have been involved in some type of fight.

The district attorney said the man was homeless, but they have connected with his family in Maine, where the man is originally from.
