Security high during Greig sentencing

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Security around the courthouse in South Boston was tight while Catherine Greig, longtime girlfriend of James “Whitey” Bulger, was sentenced on Tuesday.

The security precaution was taken as families of both Greig and Bulger’s alleged victims came face-to-face.

Greig was sentenced to eight years in prison for helping Bulger stay on the run for 16 years.
