BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Not everyone can take to the beach when Boston temperatures hit the 90s. Some people have to find ways to stay cool in the city, making iced coffee seem like a better way to start the day.

“I sometimes do hot coffee. Definitely today I’m going with iced coffee.”

But some people are more than happy to stick with their hot coffee.

“Actually, my husband wanted cold. And it is really cold with the AC on in my office. That is why I have hot.”

Matt, who had to shop for supplies on his bicycle in the heat, said taking the bike has its advantages.

“It is a lot better than walking. You get a cool breeze on the face. It is not too bad in terms of shopping.”

After talking with city-dwellers, what the temperature feels like was all over the board. While some could swear it was in the nineties, or over 100, one man said, “I’ll tell you, right now, it’s 88.”

He was surprised to hear the thermometer was reading 103, “I’m too cool for it I guess. Doesn’t bother me.”

In the sun, the thermometer eventually reached 106 showing that it’s important to stay hydrated, especially if you’re in the sun.
