BOSTON (AP) -- Boston health officials say four more mosquito samples in city neighborhoods have tested positive for the West Nile virus.

The Boston Public Health Commission said Thursday positive samples came from East Boston, Hyde Park and West Roxbury. The virus also has been found in nearby Brookline.

It's the second time this month that West Nile has been found in West Roxbury. Last month it was found in mosquitoes in Roslindale.

The state health department also has said West Nile was found last month in mosquitoes in Pittsfield in western Massachusetts.

No human cases have been reported. Six were reported in the state last year.

Health officials recommend that people use mosquito repellent, protective clothing and consider staying inside during the peak evening hours for mosquitoes.
