BOSTON (WHDH) -- The Massachusetts State Police has a message for Route 24 and 195 drivers: If you are driving while impaired or distracted, if you are too aggressive or going too fast, we are coming for you.
As week 2 of their heightened patrols begins, the Massachusetts State Police took to their Twitter account Friday afternoon to warn drivers.
They tweeted that last weekend patrols took off 10 drunk drivers and wrote more than 220 citations. They said they are “eager for week 2 to start tonight.”
They also told drivers that if they see an erratic driver they should call 911 and give a description of the vehicle.
Massachusetts State Police will be deploying 11 extra patrols overnight on Friday night and Saturday night.
“We're taking back RTs 24/195 for lawful drivers,” the Massachusetts State Police tweeted.
Patrol Surge on routes 24 and 194 resumes Friday night at 8p.m.
