BOSTON (WHDH) -- The Boston University hockey team is under scrutiny after both an internal report and The Boston Globe released details about the team’s sexual escapades and binge drinking in the skating arena.

“The hockey team lately has been having their problems,” said one BU student.

After two hockey players were charged last year with sexual assault, a task force investigated Boston University’s hockey program. The report described a culture of sexual entitlement, but left out the salacious details obtained by the Boston Globe.

The paper reported a student told the task force that players were having sex in the penalty box and that Agganis Arena was the site of a late night championship party in which guests drank from kegs in the locker room and took to the ice naked to shoot pucks.

Many Boston University students are disheartened by the news.

“I’m slightly disappointed. It does bring a lot of negative attention to the school,” said a BU student.

The Globe also reported one player said, “You don’t ask permission for sex when you are drunk.”

“We actually just got an email from our dean saying to be careful with alcohol consumption because guys think it is okay to not ask for consent,” said a female BU student.

The team’s sexual exploits appear to be legendary and incoming students are prepared.

“I definitely have heard a lot of rumors about the hockey team," said a female student. “It's not such a good idea to be a girl by yourself around them at night."

The hockey season is in full swing and students said that while the incidents are regrettable, they are still in full support of the team.
