Mass. doctor facing child porn charge in court

BOSTON (AP) -- The Massachusetts pediatrician facing a child pornography charge is headed to court.
Dr. Richard Keller's detention hearing is scheduled for Friday in U.S. District Court in Boston.
Keller, who once worked as medical director for Phillips Academy in Andover and has also volunteered at summer camps, has already agreed not to practice medicine.
The 56-year-old Keller is in federal custody following his Sept. 13 arrest on one count of receiving child pornography.
Federal prosecutors allege Keller purchased more than 50 DVDs of child pornography online. During a search of his Andover home, authorities say they found more than 500 photographs and 60 to 100 DVDs of child pornography.
Keller works at Children's Hospital Boston and is an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Both put him on leave after his arrest.
