Officer on motorcycle hit in Mattapan

MATTAPAN, Mass. (WHDH) -- A Boston police officer who was riding a motorcycle was hit.

Police said the accident happened at 1450 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan.

A Toyota Corolla remains at the scene with damage to the passenger door. It looks as if the car and the motorcycle collided.

The officer was taken to the hospital. The condition of the officer is unknown.

Officials are investigating the accident.
