Man fatally shot in a car, 3 suspects in custody

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A man was fatally shot while in a car in Boston’s South End Wednesday evening.

The suspects led police on a short-lived chase just before 7 p.m. Police followed the car on Interstate 93 before cornering it and taking three suspects into custody.

The suspects are wanted in connection with the deadly shooting.

Investigators said the victim was shot and killed while in his car on Southampton Street.

Police shut down lanes on I-93 south to search for evidence. The lanes have since reopened.
