Construction worker pinned in wet concrete

SOUTH BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- A construction worker became pinned in wet concrete Monday after an accident at a construction site in South Boston.

He had to be pulled to safety after the sidewalls of the site shifted and he got trapped.

It took firefighters an hour to free the worker. They had to slowly remove the dirt and concrete by hand to pull him out.

The worker was taken to the hospital to be checked out and was expected to be okay.
