SOUTH BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Angry pet owners spoke out after they say, their pets were poisoned.
The Baldner family found that someone had actually thrown tainted food onto their property.
On N Street - some dogs are got so sick that at least two of them had to be put down.
It appears that the dogs are being attacked by someone who doesn't want them around.
"When I looked around the yard...I found cheese. It had rat poison in it," said Vincent Baldner.
He found that cheese the same day one of his two greyhound mixes got sick.
"She stopped eating and going to the bathroom, so I took her to the vet's and when they did the blood work on it, they said the kidneys had shut down.”
Tests confirmed that the dog had been sickened with rat poison. Now Vinnie's brother said it is clear that his dog was also poisoned.
“She was having trouble walking. She was falling over and vomiting and had diarrhea. She had seizures,” said Jerome Baldner.
The family who house is off N Street said their dogs were attacked in the same way 5 years ago. That person was not caught. They are talking about it now before any more family pets are lost.
“They are a sick person. To be able to hurt animals. Cruelty. I don't know another reason why,” said Vincent Baldner.
A similar case in Charlestown happened recently. 7News was told the dogs could be treated but must be taken in to the vet as soon as possible.
