UNDATED (WHDH) -- With less than one week to go until the busiest travel day of the year, state officials are reminding people to plan ahead.

If you're flying out of Logan, try to arrive a little earlier than usual to make sure there is enough time to get through security and get to your gate.

TSA officials say they will be fully staffed in hopes of making the wait as short as possible.

State transportation officials are also pointing out highway exits on the Mass. Pike to get onto interstates 84, 495, and 93 that are expected to be busy during peak travel times.

And drivers traveling in and out of Boston will get a little bit of a break.

Next Wednesday between 3 and 4 p.m., the tolls at the Allston-Brighton interchange will be free.

To avoid major traffic next Wednesday, and the following Sunday, MassDOT is urging drivers to leave after 8 p.m. or early in the morning.
