Sisters of Charity Celebrate 125th Anniversary in Boston

The Sisters of Charity-Halifax held a Mass in Milton today to celebrate their 125th anniversary in the Archdiocese of Boston.

The order was founded by Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton with a focus on education and helping the poor. Today there are almost 150 sisters working in schools, churches, hospitals and many other agencies around Massachusetts making a profound difference in the lives of countless adults and children.

Today's Mass at St. Agatha's Church was led by Bishop John Dooher.

The Sisters of Charity are an international organization with missions in the US, Canada, Bermuda, Peru and Africa.
