Winning numbers drawn for $550M Powerball jackpot

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WHDH) -- The numbers drawn for the record $550 million Powerball jackpot are: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.

A Dorchester Tedeschi’s has been swamped with people hoping to cash in on the half billion dollar Powerball jackpot.

“It’s pretty busy in there, yeah, everyone hoping to win the big bucks,” said Ebony Ivy.

Those hoping for financial freedom come to the Tedeschi’s in Dorchester because the store has a proven track record of winners. They sold the winning $32 million mega millions last summer -- and that’s not all.

“We’ve sold three Mass. cash winners in the past three months,” said Gloria El-Fhurafa, store manager.

“What you really want to do is just lay low. You want to sign your ticket put it in a safe place and you don't want to go out and throw a big party you certainly don't want to go on Facebook and tell everybody you just won the lottery,” said Tom Elkins, Trilogy Financial Services.
