BOSTON (WHDH) -- Passengers said it was chaos inside two trolleys that collided at the Boylston “T” stop in Boston Thursday.
“In the beginning we didn't know what happened everybody just violently went in one direction -- people fell onto the floor,” said Dan Singleton, a passenger.
Passengers said it took a while for everyone to figure out what happened.
“It was hard enough that it could have been -- If you told me a bomb or explosion I might have believed it. We didn't know what it was in the beginning,” Singleton said.
Dan Singleton was headed outbound from Park Street. He said he was lucky he grabbed a seat because some passengers chose to stand.
“I smashed into the railing that I was sitting next to -- the metal bar that hurt my knee, my knee hurts, my back is sort of off. But I can walk and move and I think I'm lucky but some people are bleeding,” said Singleton.
Even though all of the injuries appeared to be minor, people on the trolleys were still thrown around.
“It was going and all of the sudden ‘boom’ and everyone piled up on each other -- I see people like smashed into the pole some hit their head and shoulders,” said Walter Lazare, a passenger.
Most passengers said they were lucky because the situation could have been much worse.
