Family of 4 injured in crash on I-95

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A family of four was rushed to the hospital after a serious crash on I-95 Saturday afternoon.
State police said there was a 36-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman, a 5-year-old boy and the 15-month old in the car. The 15-month-old suffered the most severe injuries.
Earlier Saturday, there were reports from state police that the 15-month-old had died. He was revived at a Norwood hospital where he was in critical condition. He is currently being treated at Children’s Hospital.
The crash occurred on I-95 southbound just south of exit 10 in Walpole shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday.
The identities of those inside the car have not been released, but officials said they are all from Lexington, Mass.
The cause of the crash, which was a single-car crash (a 2007 Honda Accord), is unknown, but investigators are looking into the wintry weather conditions as a factor.
The 15-month-old is in serious condition, an improvement from his previous critical condition.
The incident is still under investigation.
