Franklin Park Zoo looking for help in naming giraffe

BOSTON (WHDH) -- The Franklin Park Zoo is asking for help in naming their new giraffe.

The female calf was born on Nov. 27. She weighed in at 165 pounds and stands 6 feet, 5 inches tall.

Zoo patrons can submit a name by bringing it to the zoo’s admission booth or by mailing it to Baby Giraffe c/o Franklin Park Zoo, One Franklin Park Road, Boston, Mass. 02121.

The winning name will be picked in February.

Patrons will not be able to see the new addition to the zoo until the spring.
