Sen. Michael Rush helps women in need

BOSTON (WHDH) -- A state representative helped a woman in need.
The woman was walking near Beacon Hill Wednesday night when someone came up and stole her phone. She ran after the man, yelling for help.
State Senator Michael Rush heard the screams and chased the thief down an alley and over a wall.
"The phone he had dropped or gotten rid of before he got over the fence, so it was laying there on the ground. I was able to give it back to her. It was pure adrenaline. You saw something was going on and certainly and if were my wife or a family member of mine, I would hope someone would do the same thing,” said Sen. Rush.
It turned out Senator Rush knew the woman.
Her phone wasn't damaged.
