PrintMBTA says collision-avoidance system would be pricey

BOSTON (WHDH) -- The MBTA says installing an automated collision avoidance-system on the green line would be an expensive investment.
The Boston Globe reports the system could cost more than $700 million.
Last month, a Green Line trolley rear-ended another trolley. Other collisions occurred on the Green Line in 2008 and 2009.
