Santa visits Tufts Medical Center on Christmas

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Following his long night, Santa stopped by the Tufts Medical Center to visit patients.

Santa has visited young patients there on Christmas Day each year for the last two decades.

He even gives gifts to the doctors, to thank them for all their hard work.

"To get one smile, it's worth it. And that's, really, what makes it worthwhile for us. Just spreading cheer and making a difference in some kid's life. Most important is that they know they're not forgotten, that Santa comes to the hospital too, and they're gonna get gifts too and they're important to other people,” said Santa.

Santa said that as long as there are kids in the hospital, he'll be paying them a visit on Christmas.
