BOSTON (WHDH) -- The holiday travel season is helping Logan Airport land a record. The 29-millionth passenger walked through the Logan terminal Wednesday; the most ever in a year for the Boston airport.
Meet the Lewis family: they were the 29-millionth traveler through Logan Airport this year. The family of four from Maine was en route to Los Angeles then to Los Angeles for a family vacation.
“We have a long road still ahead of us to travel but this is a good start,” said Jennifer Lewis.
Logan is the 11th largest airport in the country and for the Lewis family who came down from Maine to fly out, they said it’s the most convenient for them.
“We travel through Boston a lot. We can get direct flights from the Boston airport and that’s really important to us. So, it was a real surprise to us this was going to take place. We’re delighted to help Logan Airport celebrate this milestone,” said Gary Lewis.
Massport said it will ship a gift basket to the Lewis’ home.
