Surveillance video shows man stealing cell phones

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WHDH) -- A man, seen in surveillance video, broke into a cell phone store earlier this month.

Video showed him rummages through the shelves and quickly grabbing as much as he could.

He took more than $5,000 worth of merchandise.

“He knew exactly what he was doing, but when it came to the phones, I mean, he took a lot of the dummy phones also,” said Jay Carvajal, the store owner.

Police are hoping that tracking the phones by their serial numbers will lead to an arrest.
