EAST BOSTON (WHDH) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Mobil gas station in East Boston Thursday evening.
When police arrived at the station on Meridian Street, the clerk told officers the suspect entered the store, pointed a shotgun at her, and demanded money.
“No one wants a gun in their face. It’s sad to say, but in this kind of retail business you’re subject to that,” said John Hennessey, gas station clerk.
Surveillance video shows the suspect partially covers his face and points a shotgun at the clerk before bolting with an undisclosed amount of money according to police.
The clerk’s friends told 7News she wasn't hurt but is still shaken by the terrifying ordeal.
“She can’t sleep; she’s too shook up,” the clerk’s friend said.
Police are looking into reports the suspect may have hit several stores around the same time of this hold up.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police.
The clerk was not hurt during the robbery.
