Transit officer stops robbery in Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (WHDH) -- A man was arrested after police said he tried to rob a Charlestown Dunkin Donuts - with a spoon.

Police said Michael Wallace threatened the cashiers with what they thought was a knife.

An on-duty officer came into the store - and stopped the robbery attempt.

Police said they later discovered Wallace was using a spoon - not a knife - to threaten the employees.
