BOSTON (WHDH) -- A 13-year-old boy was transported to the hospital after he was shot in the chest in Roxbury Friday night.
The boy was in critical condition at Boston Medical Center Friday night.
Police said he was walking across a street to church at about 7 p.m. when he was shot.
“Innocent young man walking to church from his home to meet his family, and he was shot in the street. He was walking by himself,” said Dep. Supt. Kevin Buckley.
Police do not know if it was a drive-by shooting or if the shooter was on foot. Police said they are searching for a gray vehicle, but details were limited Friday night.
Police are asking the public's help in finding the shooter.
